New York Burgers and Grill - Fresh, Family-Run Burgers & More in Troy, MI

The food was great and I went to try the shrimp omelet and that was better than I expected. The place is clean, nice design, a lot of seating, get food in great time, menu has tons of options. So many offers my family member needed extra time to choose but we were both impressed with the offerings. The waitress was nice,patient and answered all of our questions. The owners were not so much but maybe a bad day or their talents are in the food but not hospitality. They were not rude or mean but other than the waitress the owners just stared at us. I will try again at an earlier time or just take out because I still believe in small business and hope it was just a rough day but excellent food. Try the shrimp omelet. I loved it and will be my go to as long as a better impression the next time. The issue and why 4 stars: We arrived a about an hour before close and we asked if we were too late. The waitress so come on in and have a seat anywhere. The owners were sitting at a table across the way. We were celebrating a bday so were talking and eating but 15 minutes before close the female owner turned towards us and just stared. We both noticed and tried to not look her way. We paid and left and when we got into the vehicle it was 8:08 and I have a disability so we left right around close. We would have went somewhere else but I try my best to support small businesses and did not have time to take pictures of the interior but it was nice, clean.

Everything on the burger was fresh, seasoned perfectly, cooked to perfection. We came for fries but the New York half pound burger was phenomenal!!

First of all let me just say every time I go there I'm surprised that it's not standing room only because the food is good and the staff is super nice to me and my family, and if you haven't been there and you like burgers you got to try the Manhattan it is awesome. I really like that it's a family-run place, and you can tell the care they put into what they do. They're always closed over the holidays which I appreciate even though I'm usually looking for someplace to go with my family LOL. Overall it's not the fanciest place (still ice and clean) in the world but it is our family's favorite restaurant.

Food was great, our waitress was really nice. There was a man there who glared at us the entire time we were there, however, that made our experience unpleasant. After we finished our meal, he cleaned our table and that's when we realized he worked there. We weren't making a huge mess but we did have a large family. I found his staring very unsettling. Other than that, our waitress was sweet and our food was enjoyable and filling for all. Would go back.

Everyone in our group said the food was great! Julian salad, New York Burger, Philly Cheese steak pita, chicken pita, chili cheese fries, onion rings - the food filled the large plates - took boxes home. Service was great - friendly attentive and quick staff. Nice quiet atmosphere, comfortable. Will go back and definitely recommend!

A hidden gem restaurant in Troy that offers a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Service is friendly and food portions are tasty and plentiful.
